Final State Interaction in B → Kπ Decays

چکیده

We discuss the rescattering effects in decays B → π +K. The picture we take is very simple: first, B decay into K ∗ ρ, then K∗ and ρ go to kaon and pion by exchanging a pion. We find a up to ten percent CP violation asymmetry rate. We also discuss its correction to the constraint of angle γ proposed recently. Isospin Amplitudes and CP violation in ( B →

We present a simple isospin invariant parametrization for (B → Kπ) decay amplitudes which consistently includes CP violation and (quasi-elastic) hadronic final state interactions. We find that the observed (B → Kπ) decays do not lead to a significant bound on the angle γ of the unitarity triangle. On the other hand, we claim that a sizeable CP violation asymmetry in (B± → Kπ±) rates is by no me...

We analyse the B → Kπ decays using the factorisation model with final state interaction phase shift included. For a determination of γ, we find that the sums of the branching ratios for B and for B̄, respectively, are independent of δ and depend only on γ. For a more precise test of the factorisation model, we derive a relation for the branching ratios independent of the strength of the strong p...

We analyse the B → Kπ decays using the factorisation model with final state interaction phase shift included. For a typical value of the weak angle γ ≃ 70, corresponding to ρ = 0.12, η = 0.34, the factorisation model seems to describe qualitatively the latest CLEO data, with a preferred value for the phase difference δ in the range 40 − 70 and a corresponding large CPasymmetry. For a determinat...

Exploring CP Violation with B 0 d → DK S Decays

We (re)examine CP violation in the decays B d → DKS, where D represents D, D0, or one of their excited states. The quantity sin(2β + γ) can be extracted from the time-dependent rates for B d(t) → D̄KS and B d(t) → DKS, where the D decays to Dπ. If one considers a non-CP-eigenstate hadronic final state to which both D0 and D can decay (e.g. Kπ), then one can obtain two of the angles of the unitar...

Effects of Final-State Interactions in Hadronic B Decays

Although the importance of final-state interactions (FSIs) has long been recognized in hadronic charm decays, the general folklore for hadronic B decays is that FSIs are expected to play only a minor role there due to the large energy release in the energetic B decay. However, there are growing hints at some possible soft final-state rescattering effects in B decays. The measurement of the colo...

Implications of Cp Asymmetry Limits for B →

The decays of B mesons to the charmless final states ππ and Kπ are a rich source of information on the fundamental parameters of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix, but the extraction of this information from data requires the separation of weak interaction effects from strong-interaction quantities such as magnitudes of operator matrix elements and strong phases. A number of model-inde...
